Cleo Communications Introduces Versalex 4.2.66: Improves Consolidation Efforts with OFTP2, MLLP for HL7, New Encryption Offerings and Enhances Archiving and Scheduling Management

ROCKFORD, IL (August 12, 2010) - Cleo’s general release patch, version 4.2.66, made available earlier this month to current LexiCom and VLTrader users, brings with it a number of enhancements to further solidify Cleo’s position as a leading provider of advanced managed file transfer and secure communications solutions.
Major enhancements were made to Cleo’s Versalex platform that can have an immediate positive impact on their current customer base. OFTP2 is now included with the market-leading protocol stack offered in LexiCom and VLTrader base packages. This new protocol will play a key role for automotive goods companies facing mandates from both Volkswagen and Volvo, who require OFTP2 connections. With the simultaneous introduction of MLLP protocol, healthcare organizations will be able to meet their HL7 requirements on the electronic exchange of clinical, financial and administrative information. In version 4.2.66, OpenPGP is available as an additional encryption option – offering even more security options for file transfers.
In terms of integration, this new release also supports connections to an LDAP server to authenticate external users access to information, thereby supporting company policies for role-based access to information.
Data and file management is a critical component of any secure or managed file transfer solution. Improvements in scheduling are apparent in this release with new capabilities in the Scheduler, including one-time, weekly and monthly scheduling options. Archiving is also enhanced with more options and increased automation of processes. A new Local Commands host feature also offers users the ability to create hosts which are designed solely for manipulation, direction and management of local files and do not require any protocol association.
