Cleo Communications Releases VersaLex v4.3 for LexiCom and VLTrader – Providing Users Enhanced Security, Additional Secure Protocols, Improved Visibility to File Transfers and Greater Flexibility.

LOVES PARK , IL (January 31, 2011) – Cleo Communications, provider of
industry-leading secure file transfer solutions, today announced the release of VersaLex v4.3 for LexiCom, Cleo’s secure file transfer client solution and VLTrader, Cleo’s flagship, enterprise managed file transfer solution.

LexiCom provides secure file transfer solutions to vendors connecting to large networks of trading partners and suppliers. VLTrader’s inherent flexibility provides for both large and small trading partner enablement in one consolidated, easy-to-use solution. VLTrader provides connectivity benefits that reduce the need for fragmented communications servers. VLTrader also supports flexible integration with numerous platforms and back-end applications allowing users to increase security and visibility to file transfers, while reducing the time to implement a managed file transfer solution for the entire enterprise.

The following features have been added to Cleo’s software operating on VersaLex v4.3:

Enhanced Security
  • Cleo Secure Email: Control ad hoc file transfers that contain sensitive information through the familiar interface of Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes.
  • VLPortal Password Maintenance: Allows passwords to be changed directly through VLPortal.
  • Password Protected Zip: Adds a password option to the LCOPY ZIP and
    UNZIP commands.
Secure Multiprotocol Communications
  • AS2 Restart: This Drummond Certification for AS2 enables sending AS2 messages with very large payloads (500MB and larger) by resuming failed file transfers at the point of failure.
  • OFTP & OFTP2: Improves file transfer performance with Restart, Server Solicited Pull, Forward Proxy and Reverse Proxy support.
  • Web Services Client: Web Services is now a file transfer option built into LexiCom and VLTrader.
Improved Visibility
  • Operator Audit Trail: Used for logging when specific operator configuration changes are made.
Greater Flexibility
  • IPv6 Support
  • Web UI Table Page Scrolling: Making the web-based interface easier to use.
  • Multiple VLPortals: Allows customization of the look of the file transfer web portal for different user groups or trading partners.
  • Windows/Unix Cross-Platform Shares/Authentication: Enables VLTrader to read and write directly from Windows (CIFS) and Unix (SMB) shares from any platform, and allows different user credentials to be used on different shares. Access to these shares can be granted to another user other than the user running VLTrader.
  • Web UI Headless Systems Support on Unix: Eliminates potential dependencies on X11 or XVFB when VLTrader is running on systems without graphic support.
