Cleo's Streem Fax Cover Pages

Streem Fax network fax and Streem Print allow users to create and use personalized custom cover pages for network faxing. A Custom Cover page is a Rich Text Formatted (.RTF) document, which contains optional tags that allow information to be merged into the cover page during the email to fax process.

A sample cover page is installed with Streem Print and can be examined in Microsoft Word or WordPad. The sample can be modified by updating the address, phone, fax, and company logo, and the saving the cover page under a new file name. The newly created cover page will need to be added to Streem Print through the Preferences dialogue.

Custom Merge Tags are special fields that are replaced with data before the document is faxed. A tag is made up of two parts: the enclosing brackets "{ }", and a predetermined keyword used to identify the data that is to be merged.  For example, wherever the {Attention} tag appears on the document, this will be replaced with the "To Name" of the person receiving the fax.

Valid tags include:

Attn:  The name of the person receiving the fax

Date:  The current date when the fax is sent

Fax Number:  The fax number to receive the fax

From:  The name of the person sending the fax

Notes:  Notes entered in the Streem Print 'Cover Notes' field

Subject:  The subject of the fax

Time:  The current time when the fax is sent

Pages:  Total pages including the cover page
